Short answer
Round boxes are made in two ways. A flat-edge round box is a strip of greyboard bent into a wall and wrapped in paper, used for flower, hat and gift boxes up to 500 mm across. A curled-edge box starts as a paper tube whose rim is curled and closed with a pressed-in disc, used for tea, food and cosmetic tubes. The two constructions use different machines.
