Cardboard Slitting Machines
Short answer
The HF-1300 slits greyboard sheets of up to 1200 × 800 mm into the smaller panels a box or case needs, at 20–80 sheets/min in 1.2–3 mm board. It is the first step in a rigid box or case line.
Overview
The first cut in a rigid box line.
Greyboard is delivered in full sheets. Before anything else it has to be cut down to the panels a box or a case needs: the blank of a box shell, or the front, back and spine boards of a case. A slitting machine does this in one pass, with the cuts parallel and the widths repeatable.
The HF-1300 slits sheets of up to 1200 × 800 mm at 20–80 sheets per minute, from a feeding pile of up to 225 mm. It stands in front of the V grooving machine in a box line, or in front of the case maker in a case line.

How to choose
4 things to settle first.
- 01
Board thickness
The HF-1300 takes 1.2–3 mm board. The HF-1200 grooving machine after it takes 0.8–4 mm, so board thinner than 1.2 mm or thicker than 3 mm has to be cut another way.

Sheet size
From 210 × 47 mm to 1200 × 800 mm.
- 03
Whether to slit in house
Board can be bought cut to size. A slitting machine earns its place once the volume or the number of different sizes makes that slow or costly.

Power and weight
2.2 kW total power; the machine weighs 2,000 kg.
