Drawer Box (Slipcase) Machines
Short answer
A drawer box, or slipcase box, is a deep and narrow rigid box, much taller and longer than it is wide. The HF-320 forms it from V-grooved board in one pass at 600–1000 pcs/hour, for sizes up to 350 × 120 × 320 mm and widths down to 35 mm. The hand-fed HF-320A then folds the paper in and presses out bubbles at 800–1200 pcs/hour.
Overview
Too narrow for an ordinary wrapping machine.
A drawer box, also called a slipcase box, is a deep and narrow rigid box: far taller and longer than it is wide, like the case a book slides into. Older wrapping machines cannot handle boxes narrower than about 50 mm, so this shape has its own machines.
The HF-320 forms the box from V-grooved board in one pass. A suction system holds the board while it is folded, so the corners do not need taping. The HF-320A is the companion machine: hand-fed, it folds the paper into the box and presses out air bubbles. It is also used on its own for narrow or irregular boxes that another wrapping machine cannot finish.

How to choose
4 things to settle first.
- 01
Box width
The HF-320 forms boxes down to 35 mm wide, which is the practical lower limit. Its standard range is 35 × 35 × 100 mm to 350 × 120 × 320 mm, length × width × height.
- 02
Forming or folding in
The HF-320 forms the box at 600–1000 pcs/hour. The HF-320A folds in and presses at 800–1200 pcs/hour, for boxes from 40 × 40 × 15 mm to 400 × 300 × 150 mm.
- 03
Other shapes
With extra parts the HF-320A handles hexagonal and octagonal boxes, and it can be used for bubble pressing or edge pressing only.
- 04
Installation
Both run on 220 V at 1 kW. The HF-320A needs no installation: plug in and run.

FAQ
Which machines are in the HORFON drawer box (slipcase) machines range?
2 machines: HF-320 Automatic Drawer Box (Slipcase) Forming Machine; HF-320A Automatic Drawer Box Folding Machine.
What is the narrowest box the HF-320 can form?
35 mm wide. The standard range is 35 × 35 × 100 mm to 350 × 120 × 320 mm, and sizes outside it can be customised.
Does a drawer box need corner taping?
Not on the HF-320. It holds the V-grooved board by suction and forms the box in one pass, so the corner pasting step is left out.
What is the difference between the HF-320 and the HF-320A?
The HF-320 forms the box from grooved board, at 600–1000 pieces per hour. The HF-320A is hand-fed and finishes it: it folds the paper in and presses out bubbles, at 800–1200 pieces per hour.
How fast is a drawer box machine?
The HF-320 forms 600–1000 boxes per hour, about 10 to 17 per minute.
