Box type 02 · 6 steps

Lid-and-base rigid box — the classic two-piece gift box.

Short answer

A lid-and-base rigid box is a base and a lid made the same way: the cardboard is V grooved and folded up, its corners are pasted, and printed or fancy paper is glued, positioned and wrapped around it. The entry-level semi-automatic line of four machines averages about 900–1,200 pcs per hour.

FAQ

What machines do I need to make lid-and-base rigid boxes?

The entry-level semi-automatic line is four machines: the HF-1200 V grooving machine, the HF-500 corner pasting machine, the HF-850A paper gluing machine and the HF-450 box forming machine. For automatic positioning, the HF-1050 positions the paper and cardboard by vision and robotic arm. Or replace the line with the HF-5040, which does every step from paper feeding to box wrapping at 18–25 pcs/min.

How many boxes does the semi-automatic line produce?

About 900–1,200 pcs per hour on average, from V grooving and corner pasting through paper gluing to box forming. The HF-450 forming machine sets the pace at 15–20 pcs/min; the real speed depends on the box size, the materials and the experience of the operators.
